What do I need for a visit to Amtgard?
Our weekly meetings are free to play. All you have to do is meet
us out at Blackburn Park in Atlanta. We have plenty of loaner
gear, so you may borrow equipment your first few times out. If
you have medival or fantasy garb, you are encouraged to wear it to get
in the spirit of play. Wear clothes that you can move around in
and get a little dirty, since Amtgard combat can be fairly
athletic. If you have a pair of kneepads (such as rollerblade,
soccer, or catchers pads) bring those. If you have a pair of grip
or padded athletic gloves, you may want to bring those. Commonly
used gloves are weight lifting gloves, lacrosse gloves, linebacker
gloves, martial arts gloves and hockey gloves. You may also
want to bring drinks and a chair.
